What sum would yield an interest of 36 in 3 years at 3% per annum?

Here...
I= 36
T=3
R= 3%

Let principal be=P
as we know,
P=(100×I)÷(R×T)
P=
 \frac{100 \times 36}{3 \times 3}
=100×4
=400

Hence the principal is Rs 400
