He says the Nightingale to sing till the night even in the cold weather. He scolds her for not singing properly as he is not able to earn money shows his greed to earn money and to kill nightingale

In the poem Frog and Nightingale, frog is portrayed as selfish and heartless creature. The cunning frog was greedy and clever he forced the innocent nightingale to perform continuously so he could earn more money and satisfy his greed.

He was also jealous of nightingale’s popularity. He forced her to sing even in bad weather condition, he used to scold her and gets angry to not singing properly and that’s how he satisfies his greed for money.
