The retina in human eye has two type of cells specialised=
1)ROD cells which are sensitive in dim light and helps us to see in dark. It has pigment Rhodopsin or Visual Purple.
2)CONE cells which are sensitive in bright light and enable us to have colour vision. It has pigment Iodopsin.
