India and ChinaAs of 2020, population of China is 59 million more than India. Due to higher population growth rate of India, margin between these two country is coming down quickly. And by 2027, India will have more people than China with approximately 1.47 billion people.

While their recent growth has been roughly similar, China and India also boast the two largest populations on the planet. But a new study by RAND shows the giants heading down different demographic paths. China's population is larger than India's, but India's population is expected to surpass China's by 2025.
