the two ordered pairs that are 5.5 units apart are

(-1.5, 2) and (-1.5,-3.5)

I found this by subtracting 2- (-3.5)= 5.5

since the x coordinates are the same the *y* cordinates are the only ones you use to find the answer between the two.

on the number line the are two points are on opposite sides of the x-axis making it easier to distinguise the lenght between them.
