A guillotine is an apparatus designed for efficiently carrying out executions by beheading. The device consists of a tall, upright frame in which a weighted and angled blade is raised to the top and suspended.

It was a type of machinery or equipment developed in France during French Revolution 1789 by Dr. Guillotine which had a sharp blade attached to it from which a person is beheaded. It was massively used for killing during reign of terror. Hope it helps......
