Ensure you do the following if you are outdoors during an earthquake:

Stay there.
Move away from buildings, streetlights, and utility wires.
Once in the open, stay there until the shaking stops. The greatest danger exists directly outside buildings, at exits and alongside exterior walls.

On recognizing that there is an earthquake, switch off all electrical appliances.

Run towards the exit of the house, apartment, office building etc. Stay in an open space with no near big walls, or big pile/stack of things.

 Avoid elevator or lift.

Avoid electric power supply poles, telephone poles, cables & wires in the air.

If you work in an electric power supply company or maintain electric power in a company, switch off power supply to the building, in case the earthquake is seriously intense.

Stay calm and move quick.

Do not panic or push others or kick others or shout madly.

Alert others, and help others (children/old people/ sick people) if you can.

Do not remain taking selfies.. - very important, until you are safe in an open place.

If the quake is mild, then stay calm where you are in case it is safe in general.

kvnmurty: thanks for selecting brainliest ans.
kvnmurty: Another point: If you are inside a vehicle, it may be better to go/drive away from buildings, and exit from the vehicle.
