There were many difficulties faced by "Nelson Mandela" in achieving "freedom" for his people. "Nelson Mandela" was "imprisoned for 27 long years" because he didn't give in to the authorities' pressure. He remained true to the idea he believed and stood for – an apartheid - free country.
