Name the different types of bond present in NH4Cl. In NH4Cl molecule, ionic bond is formed between NH4+ and Cl– ions, 3 covalent bonds are formed between N and three H atoms and one coordinate bond is formed between N and 1 H atom.

Answer:
●NH4CL contains both an iconic and covalent bond. The ammonium ion is polyatomic, which means it forms ionic salts. Therefore whatever bonds it makes are ionic. That said however, the bond between N and H is covalent because both N and H are non-metals.
◎For example, NH4Cl is formed from the reaction of NH3, a weak base, and HCl, a strong acid. The chloride ion will not hydrolyze. However, the ammonium ion is the conjugate acid of NH3 and will react with water, producing hydronium ions.
