Answer:

Explanation:

In case of plants, epidermal cells are mainly constituted of three main types of cell ie pavement cells, guard cells or subsidiary cells. These cells are located around the stomata and trichome portions in a plant. they are also found on petals. however they might be placed in different parts of a plant body and accordingly there are a number of modifications or places in which a particular type of epidermal cell wall be located. They are located in leaves, roots, desert plants as well as older trees in different forms.

1. In case of plants like Ficus elastica, or peperomia, there is a periclinical cellular division located in the protoderm and there are a number of layers placed in them.

2. Again in case of root epidermis, there is root hair so as to absorb water and other mineral nutrients. the cork cambium is also functional in plants to help in secondary growth.

3. The main function of xerophytic plants are to absorb and preserve water and hence epidermal tissue have long hair parts, to increase the total area of absorption. there is a waxy coating of cutin on the outer side.

4. For older trees, there is a clear demarcation of layer within the cortex, primary phloem and the epidermal layer. there is a thick layer of cork also.
