★ threatening the voters: this may involve use of muscle power in order to get maximum votes as required by particular party to win elections.
★ bribery: this is usually referred to as buying of votes as the candidate provides the voter with money, alcohol etc in order to get votes to win elections.
★ excessive use of money by rich candidates: candidates do get money from government in order to fulfill the promises that they made to the people but still rich candidates use their money and attract voters to get maximum votes.
★ use of sacred symbols, caste, religion etc: a candidate might ask for votes from a group that is of same caste, religion, gender etc as him/her.
