• There are mainly two types of changes that we observe.

1) Physical changes.

2) Chemical changes.

• Physical changes are those type of changes which are mostly reversible. Here,we can perform the reverse change to obtain the primary substances before the change.

Eg. Water to Ice conversion.

• Chemical changes are those type of changes which are mostly non reversible. Here,we cannot perform the reverse change to obtain the primary substances before the change.

Eg. Combustion of petroleum.
