Answer:

(a)it is a combination reaction or oxidation reaction. Answer : The chemical reaction which takes place when Magnesium wire is burnt in air is Combination Reaction. Another type of reaction also takes place which is called Exothermic Reaction because heat or energy gets released when it is burnt in air.

(b)Decomposition takes place when limestone is heated strongly. This reaction helps in forming calcium oxide (CaO) and carbon dioxide (CO2).  Calcium oxide + carbon dioxide This process is known as decomposition

(c)The fundamental reaction of protein synthesis is the formation of a peptide bond between the carboxyl group at the end of a growing polypeptide chain and a free amino group on an incoming amino acid. Consequently, a protein is synthesized stepwise from its N-terminal end to its C-terminal end.

(d)The type of chemical reaction which takes place on mixing ammonia and Hydrogen Chloride gas is COMBINATION REACTION.

the reaction of these two compounds shall give you ammonium Chloride which is white in colour.
