What type of clothes should we wear in summer and why

we should wear light and cotton made clothes in summers because it allows our skin to perspire during the summer heat
we should also wear white colour clothes as it doesn't absorbs heat

We should wear cotton clothes and light coloured clothes in summer. We sweat a lot in summers. Cotton is a good absorber of water. Thus, it absorbs sweat from our body and exposes sweat to atmosphere, making its evaporation faster. During this evaporation particles on the surface of the sweat gain energy from our body surface, making our body cool.
Further, light coloured clothes are poor absorber of heat and would be better for summers.
