Whenever talking to unknown people comes then we have to think about the reaction of people we know before.

Talking to known people will make one very comfortable.

They can be some old friends or relatives you just met where the interaction seems to flow naturally.

Having solid conversations with people needs some extensive skill and practice which should be nurtured everyday.

When talking to someone, it is helpful to know what type of conversation you are in. You can do this on the basis of communication of communication (one way or two-way street) and its tone / purpose (competitive or cooperative). .

If you are in a one-sided conversation, then you are talking to someone instead of someone. If you are in a two-way conversation, the participants are both listening and talking. In a competitive conversation, people are more concerned about their own perspective, while participants in a cooperative conversation are interested in everyone's perspective.

Based on the direction and voice, I divided the conversations into four types: debate, dialogue, speech, and diatribe.

• The debate is a competitive, two-way conversation. The goal is to win an argument or to persuade another person, such as other participants or third party supervisors.

• Communication is a cooperative, two-way conversation. The aim is to exchange information for the participants and to build relationships with each other.

• Interpretation is a cooperative, one-way conversation. The goal of giving information to the audience / readers from the speaker / writer.

• Diatribe is a competitive, one-sided conversation. Aims to express

Emotions that disagree with you, and / or motivate people who share the same perspective.

To underline the dissimilarities amongst these kinds of conversations, let's use politics as an example:

• Debate: Debate on politics Contrary to the political spectrum, two family members of the parties.

• Talk: Two uncertain voters who talk to each other about the candidates are trying to find out who they want to vote for.

• Interpretation: A professor giving a lecture on international affairs

• Diatribe: A dissident voter about the outcome of the election.

It is important to know what type of conversation you are in, because it determines the purpose of that conversation. If you can identify this purpose, then you can talk better than the heart of that conversation. But, if you are crashing in conversation, then you may be in negotiating damage
