In the city school they were taught about gravity, western culture, earth being round and other. They were not taught about god and scriptures. The grandmother did not like this because she couldn't teach him anymore. Later, they were given music lessons, the grandmother did not like that because acckrding to their culture singing was believed to be a dirty work.
