Lysosome is a double membrane organelle present in Eukaryotic cells. It contains digestive enzymes such as glycosidases, proteases and sulfatases.

Function: Glycoside hydrolyases catalyzes the hydrolysis of glycosidic bonds in complex sugars whereas protease enzyme catalyzes protein breakdown.  

These enzymes are released in Endoplasmic Reticulum and then transported to Golgi bodies.
