Hi friend,

On being given a choice, I would certainly choose a friend who is reliable.I think that this trait or character is the most important in friendship and I expect it from my friend also.A friend who is willing to listen to us, give us supports, and sympathizes with us when we are in need.

I want this character in my friend because I think whenever I have trouble, I can rely on her and she will be sure to help me a lot in dealing with it.I cannot really pretend to be friends with a person who you could not depend on in hard times or who who disappears when you really need them.

Reliability means faith, confidence and trust.Having a reliable friend means means having a safety valve for all your secrets as you know that they will never share them with anyone. One can reveal their deepest, darkest
secrets to them without worry about being betrayed, and tell them about their pleasure so as to double up the joy.

Friendship based on reliability is always long-lasting. Reliability makes real friendship more solid and deeper.

So, for me I would rather have a friend who is reliable then someone who is rich or ever helpful because you cannot be friends with someone just because they are rich or they are helpful, you need someone on whom you can rely and let out all your worries. Hence, I think that the most important quality of a friend is being reliable.

Note:- But remember if you want reliable friends, then you must be reliable too.

"A friend in need is a Friend indeed", this proverb clearly illustrates that whatever kind of friend we have he/she must be reliable

If a friend is reliable, then he can be trusted in times when we are in dire need of help. We can reveal our secrets, and share both our joyful and sad experiences with our friend

However, if we choose a rich friend, then he might have some kind of greedy character in him or he might be arrogant.

If we choose a friend who is ever helpful, then we can trust him only that he helps us when we need his or her help, but not with our secrets

So therefore the best kind of friend is one who is reliable.
