      Belgium is a kingdom, or more precisely a constitutional monarchy, much like Britain and the Netherlands. The country has both a hereditary royal family and an elected government. Since 1993, Belgium has become a federal state consisting of several (language-based) communities and regions that have some degree of autonomy. There are many political parties, which most often leads to the formation of a multi-party coalition government.

federal goverment /  holding together federation . in belgium many powers of the goverment were given to state goverment of the region
