When Metals React With Oxygen
- There is formation of the basic oxide
- For Example:- Na + O2 -----> Na2O
- Na2O is a base as it dissolves in water and produce NaOH
When Non Metal Reacts With Oxygen
- There is formation of the acidic oxide
- For Example ;- N + O2 --------> NO2
- NO2 is a acid.
