Double displacement chemical reaction will happen in  CaCl₂ + Na₂SO₄ -> CaSO₄ + 2NaCl

The type of reaction in which two compounds react in such a way that the ions of two compounds get exchanged mutually to form two different compounds is called a double displacement reaction.

For example:

When calcium chloride (CaCl₂) reacts with sodium sulphate (Na₂SO₄), calcium ions combine with Sulphate ions to form calcium sulphate (CaSO₄) and chloride ions combine to form sodium chloride (NaCl) compounds.

Here, ions of two compounds i.e CaCl₂ and Na₂SO₄ get exchanged to form the products. Hence, the reaction is a double displacement type.
