She was waiting as a ship waits for the fog to clear out in the middle of the sea. She wanted light and knowledge. Miss Sullivan came and taught her the word D-O-L-L. It is to be noted that while Helen waited somewhat in anger and anticipation, her teacher came and cleared away both the emotions. Later in life their companionship grew beyond a "student-teacher" relation. They travelled together  and kindled the bond of sisterhood. Sullivan was a constant source of inspiration and guidance to Helen. Her death was a halt in Helen's life, but her company was a stronger force that encouraged her to write "

they really have a very good relation anne Sullivan was not only her teacher but she has given her a new life by making her read write and etc bcoz of her only helen Keller is sucha creative writer and an inspiration for like her especially able children and also for us because anne Sullivan never made her realise that she was deaf and blind inspite of that she make her aware that she can do everything she want . She can go to every extent of life .She wanted that helen should take her problems and her situation very lightly and be a fighter
