However in satellites, Like the GPS satellitez, Atomic clocks are used because they are very very very acurate... and the time they take to lose even a second is very very very large.
Quartz watches are also affected by the environmental conditions but atomic clocks doesnt.
quartz watches use the no. of vibrations tof quartz o calvulate a standard " 1 second" time.
However Atomic clocks use the vibration of atoms to calculate the standard " 1 sevond time".
which is very accurate also.
