Satellites utilize ultra-high frequency radio signals for communication. The frequencies falls in the microwave L (1–2 GHz) and S (2–4 GHz) bands. GPS uses L band (L1–1.575 GHz, L2–1.227 GHz and L5–1.176 GHz) only. NAVIC (India’s regional navigation system ) uses L5 (1.176 GHz) and S (2.492 GHz) band. Now, as the satellites placed at Medium Earth Orbit (MEO) the band provided for their proper communication as per the regulations from Federal Communication Commission (FCC). hope it helped uuu
