As a teacher the learning process should not stop and teachers like students should also keep learning new things so that they can teach their students something new every day.
If you teach students what is in the books then that is not enough in today's world you need to teach students what is going in practical life so that they know how to function in this fast-paced world.
Above all as a teacher I would like to teach students self-confidence which is the most needed thing in today's world and which is often ignored at school and also I want to help children know how to talk to people and in what way they communicate to people so that they leave a lasting impact on the other person.
They should be given motivation classes so that they study properly and think of studying as something they need and should take interest in studying rather than just studying it for the sake of a duty.
I should leave my Ego and accept that even a child can teach me. Children of now are more exposed than the older generation. So, when a child gives me an answer, which is not in the book, I should first appreciate him/her and then should check myself whether it is correct or not. The next day, I should inform the student that his/her answer had been correct. If wrong, gently correct the student and show my superiority.
I feel that children need hands-on experience classes. So, I should include lots of experiments and activities in my teaching. Also, challenge the child so that the child can brainstorm and bring out solutions.
I should also help the child to solve his/her problems without fear. For example, if a child is afraid of a lizard. I should explain about lizard, guide him/her to observe it, then, allow the child to touch a dead lizard and then the real lizard. This way, the fear will be mitigated for ever.
