What type of speech , according to ‘purpose’, would you prefer to deliver? = The three types of speech, according to purpose, are 1) to inform 2) to persuade 3) to entertain.

I prefer to give an ‘inform’ speech. My aim is to help my audience to know and understand the subject of my talk.

The advantage of an ‘inform’ speech is that I can verify that my audience has or has not learned something. I can ask questions and expect correct answers. I can give out worksheets and get them to complete the relevant parts.

Hope this helps.
