it is a non uniform motion as it's acceleration will be equal to 10m/s

It's a non uniform motion.
Non uniform motion is the one in which the momentum of the body is not constant, aka its velocity is not constant, due to some force which is externally exterted on it.

Now, in this scenario, the ball, when released(not forcefully) will have zero speed of its own and will fall due to earth's gravitational force, with an acceleration of 9.8 meter per second per second. So, after two second, the ball's speed(magnitude of velocity, since its falling vertical) will increase again by 9.8 m/s, thus becoming 19.6m/s and so forth, adding 9.8 to its speed per second, till it hits the ground. Since there is a change in its velocity, its motion is not constant, I.e. non uniform

Anonymous: If it's under the influence of gravity, that is the separation is optimal(not too large) for gravity to work upon, it'll fall and hit the earth with large velocity
Anonymous: Not infinite
RikeshRaj: and it maybe burn completely before reaching surface of earth
RikeshRaj: because of friction heat will produce
AayushKumarGupta11: ok
Anonymous: Yep, it's energy will turn to heat
RikeshRaj: an example of this is meteor shower
Anonymous: Yep, and also Vladimir Komarov, a man who fell from space
RikeshRaj: thanks that i didn't knew
Anonymous: It's all right :)
