Hey Mate,

An intelligent person is someone whose brain functions better than most.

On the other hand, those labelled geniuses tend to be those who attain an incredibly high level in something through hard work and, often through their own marketing, their hard work is underplayed.

People thus think the ‘genius’ excelled in mathematics, languages, football, or whatever because of their natural ability when it was their hard work that was the most significant factor.

The fact is that no one in the history of humanity was born amazing at something - in every case incredible expertise has come through years of intense practice.

And so, the key difference is that intelligent people actually exist while geniuses don’t - they’re a myth.
