-2(3x+2) > -8x +6

-6x - 4 > -8x + 6

-6x + 8x > 6 + 4

2x > 10

x > 5

Since x has to be greater than 5.

Out of the choices -6, -5, 5, 6 we can choose 6.

Answer is 6

Given:

-2 ( 3x + 2 ) > -8x + 6

To find:

The value of x.

Solution:

Solving inequality,

-2 ( 3x + 2 ) > -8x + 6

Multiplying on the LHS,

-6x - 4 > -8x + 6

Grouping x terms on one side,

-6x + 8x > 6 + 4

2x > 10

x > 5

Hence, the possible values of x are 6, 7, 8, ...

The answer is x = 6.
