The speaker of lok sabha is for the sake of presiding officer to the lok sabha the lower house of the parliament of India the speaker is elected in first meeting of the lok sabha following general section serving for a time of 5 years the speaker choosen from member of lok sabha and is by convention a member of ruling party or vilence at present lok sabha speaker is sumitra mahajan a member of bjp she is also mp of indore madhya pradesh
