Step 1:(ay2+3xy-9x2)-(-4y2+8xy+bx2)=10y2-5xy-10x2
Step 2:Solve the equation in LHS
=ay2+3xy-9x2+4y2-8xy-bx2
=ay2+4y2-9x2-bx2+3xy-8xy
Step 3: Substitute some value for a and such that it makes the equation equal to 10y2-5xy-10x2.That is,
ay2+4y2-9x2-bx2-5xy=(6)y2+4y2-9x2-(1)x2-5xy
=10y2-10x2-5xy
=10y2-5xy-10x2
Therefore, LHS=RHS
Hence,a=6 and
b=1
