To find:

(i) The values of x satisfying the inequation.

Solution:

The given inequality is

x – 18x – 646 > 2

∴ -17x > 648

∴ 17x < -648                [Multiplying with negative, changes sign of inequality]

∴ x < -648/17

∴ x < -38.12

So, any values lesser than -38.12 will satisfy the inequality.
