This was so because his only daughter Miriam went to Punjab as she had married a soldier in the regiment.
Ali was lonely and began to admire the green cornfields.
He came to the conclusion that the whole universe was built up on love and that grief of separation was inescapable.
And on contemplating this reality, he used to weep.
