democracy is a form of government in which the rulers are elected by the people.
final powers must rest with the rulers elected by people
people must have some basic rights that are protected by an independent judiciary
there should be an opportunity and a choice for people to change their rulers.
this choice and opportunity should be given to every adult citizen on a fair wnd basis
