Answer:-

Volume of air expelled is 28.5 cm³.

Given:-

Initial volume of vessel (Vi) = 500cm³

Initial temperature of vessel (Ti) = 7°C = 273 +7 = 280K

Final temperature of vessel (Tf) = 27°C = 300K

To Find:-

Final volume of vessel (Vf) = ??

or

Volume of air that will be expelled from the vessel .

Formula used:-

Charles law i.e V1/T1 = V2/T2

Solution:-

By using Charles law , we have

=> Vi/Ti = Vf/Tf

=> 500/280 = Vf/300

=> 50/28 = Vf/300

=> 25/14 = Vf/300

=> 300 x 25 / 14 = Vf

=> 7500/14 = Vf

=> 535.71 = vf

Now:-

Volume of air expelled = Vf - Vi

Volume of air expelled = 535.71 - 500 cm³

Volume of air expelled = 35.71cm³.

Therefore:-

Volume of air expelled is 35.71 cm³.
