C + O2 —> CO2

since 1 kg of carbon reacts with excess of oxygen or Carbon is a limiting reagent .

1 mole of carbon gives rise to one mole of carbondioxide

so 1Kg of C –> 1 kg of CO2

no of moles of CO2

1000/44 = 22.72 mol

1 mol - 22.4 l

22.72 mol - ??

22.72 × 22.4 = 508.9 litres of CO2

Answer:

Explanation:

C + O2 ------>  CO2

Here,1 Mole of carbon react with 1 mole of Oxygen to produce 1 Mole of carbon dioxide.

we have 1kg of means 1000/12 mol of carbon.

therefore,1000/12 mol CO2 will Produce.

1 Mole CO2 at NTP occupies 22.4L Volume.

So,1000/12 Mole CO2 at NTP will occupies 1000/12*22.4L(1866.66L) Volume.
