M is the molarity of stock solution (0.25M).
V is the volume (in L) of stock solution.
M' is the molarity of diluted solution ( 0.1M).
V' is the volume of diluted solution (5L).
Hence,
0.25×V=0.1×5
V=2 L
Also 1 L = 1000 ml
Hence, V=2×1000 ml =2000 ml.
Hence, 2000 ml of the stock solution are required.
