french directory, the french revolutionary governament set up by the constitution of the year III, whch lasted four years,from 1975to1999.it included bicameral legslature known as corpslegislatif

the Directory Government set up from 1795-1796 after the fall of the Jacobin Government in 1794. in this government, power went into the hand of five directors to avoid making one person too powerful. there was a lot of clash between the two houses of convention and the five directors.
so, this government collapsed in 1796, just after its rise to power in 1795.
