The reasons for African colonisation were mainly economic, political and religious. During this time of colonisation, an economic depression was occurring in Europe, and powerful countries such as Germany, France, and Great Britain, were losing money.

In India, Gandhiji decided that without the unity of the indian citizens, the country could not be free from the British. He followed the path of passive resistance and non violence and persuaded the citizens to do the same. After a lot of freedom struggle (protests and strikes) , our country became independent.
