Hey ICSEian!!

According to the Drama THE MERCHANT OF VEINCE;

Arragon was a suitor of Portia.While making his choice of the caskets,his reaction to the content(engraved writings)were:-

⏩He called the silver casket "Treasure-house" by which it was made clear that he had an interest on this casket.

⏩" 'Who chooseth me shall get as much as he deserves' and well said too" His praises for the carvings were showing once more his excitement and interests in it.

⏩He shows his views towards the caste system(prevailing in Elizabethan time)and says not everyone in the higher class deserves dignity and respect.There are people in lower castes who deserve the posts should have a chance to be out of their miseries.He thinks of himself a Portia-deserving proud man and hence he makes the choice of silver casket.
