What was Aufbau (n+l) rule?

AUFBAU principal :-
the order of increasing enrgy level calculated by ( n + l) rule , according to which ,

★ Lower the value of ( n + l) , lower is the energy of orbital.

★if ( n + l)value is same for two orbitals , the orbitals with lower "n " value has lower and filled first.

example :- configuration of C
step 1 :- atomic no of C = 6
step2 :- 1s² , 2s², 2P²

#ex # configuration of Cl
atomic no = 17
so,
1s² ,2s² , 2p^6 , 3s² , 3p^5

[ Note:- the order in which electrons are filled in the orbitals , according to this rule is ,

1s< 2s< 2p<3s<3p<4s<3d<4p<5s<4d<5p<6s<4f<5d<6p<7s<5f<6d<7p
