B l o o dy Sunday was a massacre that took place on 22nd January 1905 in St Petersburg, wherein over 100 workers were killed and about 300 wounded when they took out a procession to present an appeal to Tsar.

During 1905, the procession of workers led by Father Gapon reached the Winter Palace, it was attacked by the police and the Cossacks. In this massacre, over 100 workers were killed and about 300 of workers were wounded and injured. The incident is known as Bløody Sunday. It also started a series of events that became known as 1905 revolution. All over the country, strikes took place.
