Boycott movement was started by Mahatma Gandhi in order to make Indian people boycott foreign goods and buy Indian goods. The movement contributed to the growth of many Indian industries. This movement was started because the British benefited more by exploiting India. This also helped to raise the Indian economy.
Hope this helps!!
