Champaran movement:

Champaran Movement was the first civil disobedience movement started in India by Mahatma Gandhi in Bihar. The movement launched because farmers in Champaran were forced to grow indigo cultivation. Champaran became Gandhi's first experiment in satyagraha. Eventually, the movement ended with the abolition of Indigo farming in Champaran by introducing Tinkathia system.
