Colonization:

The process of subjugation of one country by another which brings out several political, economic, social and cultural changes the country is known as colonization. A country which is subjugated by another country is said to be a colony.

Colonial period (India):

The British established their presence in India as a small trading group, who wanted to rule expand their rule in India and acquire the territories. Many historians refer to the British period in India as the colonial period, instead of symbolizing it with the modern period, because in the colonial period, aspects of the modern period weren't present, there was no liberty, equality, freedom and nor was that period of economic growth. The Indians were forced for one the or the another. Many historians refer it to as the colonial period.

During the colonial period, the British acquired all the territories, expanded their trade, forced the Indians to sell their goods at low prices, made them produce the crops they needed and they brought changes in our culture, tastes, customs and economy.
