a. Social condition in Europe - The industrial revolution witnessed the rise of new social groups, middle class who demanded the abolition of aristocratic privileges. It was this class which belonged to liberal nationalist thinking and led the revolutions.

b. Economic condition- By 1830's most of the European countries were in a turmoil and faced severe economic hardships. Food shortages, unemployment led to massive protests. There was increase migration of people from rural areas, peasant misery due to feudal dues, bad harvests etc. There was huge amount of dissatisfaction and frustration  among the people.

c. Political condition- The year 1848 was important in the history of Europe,  as Events of February 1848 in France brought about the abdication of the monarch and establishment of  a republic based on universal male suffrage. This event had influenced the liberal revolution in 1848 led by the educated middle classes. Liberal revolution was based on the ideology of liberalism and made the .Demand for constitutionalism and national unification by the people.There was a demand for a nation state, constitution , freedom of press etc.
