Answer: Arya Samaj has played a leading role in all social and educational reforms. Some areas where Arya Samaj has contributed are:
1. Arya Samaj was actively involved in struggle for independence. Around 80% of freedom fighters were influenced by Arya Samaj. Dadabhai Naoroji, Ram Prasad Bismil, Lala Lajpat Rai , Swami Shardhanand to name a few.
2. Reintroducing the ancient Gurukul system of education by establishing Gurukul Kangri at Haridwar and thereafter several other Gurukuls for Vedic research scholars
