John Locke did not approve of the divine rights of the king. Earlier there was such a support to this view upholding the supremacy of divine powers of the king that it used to be said-every man is born a slave to the natural born kings.
His belief in reason and in the ability of every man to virtuously govern himself according to God’s law is seen in his book.
He was also against the absolute powers of the Church and papal infallibility.
