doctrine of lapse means if a kind died without and he doesn't have any child or his child is not a capable a for ruling his kingdom then kingdom will be ruled by Britishers . The kingdom which annexed under the doctrine were Jhansi , Udaipur , Satara , Sambalpur , Nagpur etc
