The First Estate was the clergy, the Second Estate the nobility, and the Third Estate effectively the rest of French society. On May 5, 1789, Louis XVI convened the Estates-General.

estate general was the French parliment

On May 5 1789, the estate general was again called.

300 clergy,300 nobility and 600 third estate people were the members of the estate general.

The request of the third estate people was to have “one man, one vote” policy which was denied.

So all the third estate members marcher to the tennis court and they protested there.
